Session 2 - The Psychology of Sex (Erotic Literacy)

  • North Oakland, California (map)

How sex and eroticism really work: where they overlap and where they don’t.

Eroticism is the energy of arousal, of the creative drive. It isn’t only about sex (and sex isn’t always erotic). In this conversation, we’ll explore how erotic power is available to us both within and beyond sexual contexts, why it matters, and expand our understanding of pleasure - examining where and how sex and eroticism intersect in our unique experience.

Together, we’ll consider:
- What sex means to you and how that meaning was shaped
- What pleasure means to you and how you orient to it in the everyday
- What makes sex good, great, and amazing

You’ll leave with:

• A broader definition of the erotic

• Practices to access erotic power

• An expanded menu of what sex and pleasure can look like

• Language for what you want, need, and are curious about
